Perspective From the Abbotsford Convent

  1. Is it a functioning convent? Intersting mix of pointed Gothic arch and classical columns. The B & W is very effective

  2. Thanks Mark. It's open to the public and is a great place to visit. Full of food, markets and gardens. A google on "Abbotsford Convent" will provide the location.

  4. Hi Joe, Welcome to the CDP community, it is always good to see a new place on here. This looks an interesting place, though I always think of the film the Michael Palin film The Missionary, when I read about girls considered to be in moral danger! Paul at Leeds daily photo

  5. I ride past here every week on my way up to CERES. I'm always wondering how I can get a shot with the farm animals in the foreground and the city skyline in the background, rather than looking at the possibilities with the convent. Really nicely composed, Joe.

  6. Thanks all for your comments & to Paul for the welcome to CDP. I look forward to some inspiration from this site. Hey Alan- sounds like a great concept - an animal farm with a city background - very George Orwell. Look forward to it materialising on your blog.
