  3. I love the patterns and the abstractness of it all, even though it is instantly recognisable- clever!

  4. Wonderful angle and depth of field... I immediately thought about all the shots I have of the fences around Tuileries in Paris. Love the lighting on this one too!

  5. Great capture Joe. Love the copper colourings, reflections and depth of field you have chosen here.

  6. Highlights at the edge of an image are usually a recipe for visual disaster but here it works a treat. Clever stuff!

  8. One of your best, I reckon Joe. Lovely shot. And I agree with John above. That light at the edge shouldn't work but it does.

  9. Thanks for all your comments. I wonder whether the lighton the edge worked because I was using a fixed f/1.8 lens which I'm told has a fast shutter speed but still let's in a light of light and is good for night shots?

  10. Hmm, not sure, but I do like the DOF you get with bigger apertures. My only prime lens gives me F2 but I don't need use it nearly enough because of the limitations of the fixed focal length.
