Kookaburra Sits in The Old Gum Tree

Spotted this proud Kookaburra in the Kings Domain Gardens the other day.  Can't recall seeing one so close to the city centre before.

  3. I don't see them here in Paddo, Joe, but across in the inner-west, at Rozelle, I saw one two weeks ago. Hang on. Hang on. I heard one down on the harbour in Double Bay the other morning as my grand-daughter played in Steyn Park. Heard but did not see.

  4. No kookaburras around here, heard an owl last evening but he was high in a tree surrounded by leaves. I well recall the song from my childhood. Nicely caught Joe.

  5. Wonderful shot and what fond feelings I have for a bird I have never seen or heard, feelings brought through a familiar camp song from my childhood. Thanks for sharing him with us!
