  2. Joe, did you know this?
Your Victorian Arts Centre in Melbourne has a Casavant organ (60 stops, tracker action).

  4. I think they call it aerial perspective but I've never seen that technique used so effectively on an urban scene. Great shot.

  5. This is wonderful, Joe. What time of day was it taken? What sort of processing did you apply? Wonderful effect ...

  7. Thanks for all your positive comments regarding this photo. I was pleased to see it was also retweeted by Melbourne Places. It was taken at about 4pm towards the sun from the top of the Shrine on a very hazy day. The original photo was quite grey and uninspiring. I played with it using gimp by making it b&w, increasing the contrast and then giving it a blue tint. I suppose it's cheating a bit but I was pleased with the result.

  8. I don't think it's cheating. You brought the light out in the shot. Good job Joe.

  9. Wow, this's a very strong composition. I've just read your sentences how you took it. Ligths and shadows...and the result? A perfect photo, congratulations!
