Elevator Entrance & Shaft - Donkey Wheel House

Dear V ... During Open House Weekend at the end of July this year
I  found myself at the Donkey Wheel House, a 120 year old building
at 673 Bourke Street.  This is it's elevator shaft.
Think I'll take the stairs ... J.

  1. Love the castellations above the door. It's a wonder that it doesn't have a portcullis and drawbridge too!

  2. I hope 'V' enjoys 'J's' notes as much as I do Joe, this lift reminds me of one I came across in a little hotel in Paris, enough said.!!

  3. This is HUGE compared to my most recent experience in Paris. With 2 small rollerboards, I had to balance one on top of the other and not breathe to fit. (I am not big - hah)

  4. Better looked at than ridden in, I agree! Well shot though Joe.
