Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Dear V ...
I was ambling down Collins Street the other day in the chaos of Melbourne's financial district when the
grandeur of this high rise foyer demanded my attention. It reminded me of a corporate rainbow.
Alas there was not an ounce of gold to be found behind the reception  ...
Looking forward to boom times J.

  2. That's stunningly striking - but perhaps there's no gold 'cos it all got spent on style, not substance??!!

  3. No pot of gold at the end of this rainbow.

Makes for an interesting photo Joe.

  4. I work in that building! It's a fairly new artwork that depicts, as Julie said, the phases of the moon. I forget what it's called.

I quite like it and you have captured it well.

  5. It is a massive lobby and the moon does enhance the area. I would love to hear the clicking of heels on this marble floor.

  6. I believe this is a representation of what economists call the "filter-down effect". Large amounts of wealth are created at the top and this then filters down to the rest of us. You will note how as it comes down it gets smaller and smaller until just before it reaches us poor souls at ground level it disappears completely!
