Point Ormond - A Stage for Sunsets

Hi V ... This is Point Ormond on the Elwood foreshore.  Spectacular sunsets grace the point and have inspired scenes in film such as "On The Beach" and "Man of Flowers".  The Point has a colourful history.  In 1840 it was the site of St Kilda's first graveyard and a quarantine station following the arrival typhoid on a barque from Scotland called the Glen Huntly.  Cheers J. 6. A very disturbing presence on the horizon, but the population is unconcerned.
