St Kilda Pier

Hi V ... The board walk of St Kilda Pier stretches toward the yachts with masts imitating the city skyline.  Like any city the face of Melbourne is ever changing. The pier is neater than it used to be, the vessels in the marina have multiplied and the city buildings have spread across the sky line and compete for height. The tallest is the Rialto standing well above the rest.  I will post a photo of this building tomorrow.  Although much has changed some traditions remain.  Fishermen still cast a line into the bay, people still stroll along the pier and the sea still sparkles with the sun. 8. Lovely view and good comparison, masts are moving buildings. That pier looks so big and much more cleaner than Venice.

  10. Lovely shot, Joe. Reminds me of many similar days I spent on that very pier when I lived in St Kilda.
