Happy 2nd Birthday To Melbourne Snaps

When Melbourne Snaps appeared two years ago at its first home, Blogger, four were present. They were Auto, Shutter Speed, Aperture and Manual.  Sadly I only knew Auto.  Over the past two years I have befriended the others who I now fondly recognise as S, A and M. They are perched comfortably on my camera dial. All four have introduced me to three of their sometimes rebellious friends; Blur, Depth of Field and Focal Distance. These three are never apart and are not always affable.  Ah .. but on the rare occasions when I have pacified their unruly temper Blur, Depth of Field and Focal Distance have gifted some special moments.

The true heroes over the past two years are my guests, the friends, members and visitors of Melbourne Snaps now numbering 187 at Blogger, 145 at FaceBook, 91 at Twitter and a few at one of Melbourne Snaps more recent dwellings, Pinterest.  Thank you for dropping in. Your words of encouragement, your critiques, insights, your curiosity, wit and humour give me much joy.    With your participation, Melbourne Snaps, has evolved from a place to expand my knowledge of my digital SLR to a space to emulate those I admire and attempt to produce something creative, original and perhaps even meaningful along the way.  I hope you stay with us as the adventures of Mr & Mrs J from Melbourne Snaps continue whether it be on our very own doorstep, in the wilds of urban Melbourne, lost in our never ending landscape or even far beyond on distant shores.

Happy second birthday Melbourne Snaps.
