Piers Festival Fireworks

Hi V ... Yesterday was the second annual Piers Festival; a celebration of Victoria's colourful migrant history on the pier in Port Melbourne where so many migrants first set foot on Victorian soil.  The festival did not disappoint with people from all backgrounds attending.  Mrs J was even interviewed by Multicultural Arts Victoria so she may pop up on-line at some stage.  One of my photography goals has been to capture the movement and colour in fireworks.  The dramatic firework display over the bay at the festival's end provided the perfect opportunity.  With tripod and camera perched on top of a concrete bench, the dial set to manual, shutter speed on bulb and aperture on F16 I clicked away.  As you can imagine I captured a series of shots but I thought the red and the reflection in the image above was suitably dramatic for Melbourne Snaps.  A great day by Multi Cultural Arts Victoria. Will be back next year. Cheers J.
