THE PARTHENON ON THE ACROPOLIS, ATHENS

Zeus was good to us when we climbed up to the Acropolis.
He bathed The Parthenon with blue from the sky and gold from the afternoon sun.

  1. Uplifting yet un-nerving. I try to see it as architecture, as ruins . . . but can't shake off a sort of inner memory of the gods.

  6. We stayed a week in Athens for our wedding anniversary! Always had been on my bucket list to visit the Acropolis, because I'm an artist. But have to admit that it was somewhat disappointing. It makes for great pics though:)
