SANTORINI RAIN

We had one evening of light drizzle while we were in Santorini and it arrived just as I was taking this photograph.  My camera was sitting on a white painted concrete ledge on a slow shutter speed. The ledge was quite bumpy and being wet it must have bounced the light back into the camera lens creating this unexpected Bokeh effect. A pleasant surprise.  Travel Tip: Wear shoes with good treads if it rains in Santorini, the marble footpaths and steps become very slippery.

  2. Fabulous! The rain on the lens adds a wonderful texture to the photo - and an excellent contrast to the background. Just outstanding!

  3. It's terrific, because it almost looks like starlight in a Van Gogh sort of way. Such a lucky accident!!!
