Last week we were thrilled to be invited and attend a
private screening of HUSK,
a short, stop motion, animated film by Paul Howell. The film tells an intriguing tale of a beautiful
yet mysterious tree spirit which inhabits Melbourne’s dark and graffiti covered
lanes. A shocking encounter with some
feral fairies takes the story on a surprising, haunting twist. The trailer is available here.
Wow! We were privileged to be the first two people, not
associated with the film, to see the plot unfold and all in the company of the creator,
crew and some of the musicians who played the evocative score.
Bravo to all those involved. The short animation premiers
in, none other than, New York City at the Take Two Film Festival in
just a few weeks on 9 April 2014. Spread
the word about this wonderful achievement which showcases the uniqueness of Melbourne.

Butterfly Club, the very appropriate and quirky venue for our private
screening. You can find The Butterfly Club at the end of
Carson Place in the heart of Melbourne in the depths of its lanes!
