THE MAGIC OF THE EIFFEL TOWER

On our first day in Paris we strolled along the Seine from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower.  We couldn't believe our luck!  We arrived about 11 am and there were virtually no queues in sight!  We promptly purchased our tickets and took the elevator to the first level.  While there was a queue on this level it only took about 40 minutes before we were in the next elevator to the top! It was morning of blue skies and the whole of Paris became ours if only for a little while.

This photograph is one of many taken from the observation deck on the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower.  The City of LIghts shines best at night.

  1. What a perfect shot of the Eiffel Tower, with the beacon of light from the top. We were in Paris last year, but we ran into rain most of the time we were there. It didn't dampen our spirits, and we did get to see what we wanted to see.

  4. Wonderful vantage point, Joe! So glad that it was a great trip! I only regret that I was not there at the same time as you and J.
