I was just about to comment on how big Bessy was too Joe, but Lucy has a good point, have you tricked us somehow?? If not then my original WOW that's big still stands..
Lucy & Perth. No trick photography here. Bessy is really that big. She used to sit in front of the Art Gallery in St Kilda Road and was given a new home on the banks of the Yarra a while back. This photo was taken from the opposite bank with a zoom lens.
I think it's officially called "Angel", isn't it? I love this art/sculpture, but you've totally thrown me with the angle you've taken it from! I can't reconcile the Hyatt with any angle you might view this from. I'm confused!!:-)
Call her big and beautiful. (Though perhaps she is six inches tall?)

Excellent! Really great.
ReplyDeleteWhy? Why Bessie? My mind keeps wanting something more Trojan ...
ReplyDeleteLove the colouring and you captured her beautifully.

ReplyDeleteHey Alan, it's taken from the opposite side of the Yarra with a zoom.
ReplyDeleteJoe, I really like this view of Bessy. Hadn't thought of a photo from the other side of the Yarra. Great shot! Wonder if the new name will stick?
