The Old Melbourne Gaol is a museum and former prison located in Russel Street. It consists of a bluestone building and courtyard. This photo is taken from the courtyard. The three-storey museum displays information and memorabilia of the prisoners and staff. At one time the museum displayed Ned Kelly's skull, before it was stolen in 1978. Paranormal enthusiasts claim the museum is haunted, with claims of ghostly apparitions and unexplained voices near cells. Is it just me or is it odd that a light is on in only one cell on the third floor?
Well, it sure looks haunted to me! Spooky pic.
ReplyDeleteIs there someone looking down from the lit window on the top floor?
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a book depository ... and that be the shadow of death encroaching ...
ReplyDeleteAll in all, not a bad image, Joe.
Really spooky image Joe, bet they would be pretty gruesome tales!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot Joe. Very dramatic. I love the way you used the light here.
ReplyDeleteFantastic image Joe. Looks like a stage set from the theatre. If only those walls could talk.......but would we really want to know?
ReplyDeleteInteresting capture and post. It's kind of spooky looking, but in a theatrical way.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly has a mood, doesn't it. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't noticed the figure in the window until I read the comments. Spooky...
