TRIFFIDS?

MELBOURNE STAR

After walking from Southbank to Docklands last Sunday we decided to treat ourselves to a flight on the Melbourne Star, a giant observation wheel providing a bird's eye view and 360 degree views above Melbourne.  We thoroughly enjoyed the adventure perched above our city.  Bon Vivant J&J.

NAB BUILDING

When I look down into the interior of the NAB Building at Docklands I can't help but think of the Starship Enterprise.  Cheers J&J.

REAR WINDOWS AT DOCKLANDS

Does anyone remember the Alfred Hitchcock movie "Rear Window"?  I wonder if he could have ever imagined the thousands of windows that face each other like these at Docklands? Cheers J.

ETIHAD STADIUM TO BOLTE BRIDGE

Today's view is from the top floor of the NAB building in Docklands.  On the right is the site of many thrills and spills, Etihad Stadium, straight ahead is the Bolte Bridge named after Victoria's 38th and longest serving Premier and in the distant right is the Melbourne Star making an appearance above the cityscape. MELBOURNE STAR

Billed as "the Southern Hemisphere's only giant observation wheel" the Melbourne Star provides a birds eye view over Docklands, the CBD and Port Phillip Bay.  We haven't been up there yet but when we do we'll have our cameras ready.  Cheers J & J.

OFFICE VERTIGO

The office of the future has arrived! This is not an architect's vision, a marketing brochure or a scene from Mission to Mars.  It is a segment of the current National Australia Bank office in Docklands.  It is a long way from the gold fish bowl I used to inhabit. Cheers J.
