Dear V(isitor) .. this is the building at the corner of Collins and Queen Street. It comes from a different era than today's structures. Do they even build arched windows these days? Although I do not know the history of this building I'll bet it was funded from the Victorian gold rush ... Cheers J. |
Close up like this Joe, it really does look like something from another time, it's rather fantastic in all it's detailed arches, square and rectangle windows, I think it almost looks a little 'Gothic', really amazing take on this one.

ReplyDeleteI do like all the arches. They appear very complex. The image is 'busy'. What sort of stone is the building constructed from: faced sandstone?
