Remembrance

Dear V ... Immediately outside the Shrine of Remembrance is the Eternal Flame.  It is overlooked
by this dramatic sculpture. I remember seeing it as a child and it never fails to have an impact
whenever I see it again ... J.

    We have a War Memorial in Hyde Park South which has a range of similarly chiseled figures around the 'battlements'.

    There is something about this grouping that you show today that remind me of 'The Burghers of Calais'.
