it is judging from the pics when it went for sale last year, a real hidden gem. https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-vic-fitzroy-127733910
What a very interesting old building Joe, the arched door and little arched windows give it the feel of a church, I agree with all above this shot could have been taken in Europe.
Joe, this is a great photo for the composition, the colors, and the action. I love the metal plates used to shore up this building and with its name is an interesting juxtaposition... the architectural faces peering down onto a face that we only see in profile. Love this one.
Wonderful capture Joe. Has a European feel to me. ....looks like it's cold over your way.
ReplyDeleteAmazing, looks like it could be Italy or France. The walker and umbrella add to that fact, and make a great photo.
ReplyDeleteIs this a church? Love the composition.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Halcyon. I believe it is a private residence.
DeleteIt's my brother in laws house.. even better on the inside.. been used on lots of film and television shoots

DeleteDitto from me - very European looking and a nice piece of street photography to boot.
ReplyDeleteChecking out your photos...impressive!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Did you have to wait long for the man with the umbrella to appear?
ReplyDeleteNo ... he approached just as we got to the house. Had to struggle to get the camera in position quick enough.
DeleteLove this shot!

ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting building Joe, I don't know a lot about architecture, but there is a similarity with many buildings I saw in UK. ;-)

Wonderful murky pastel colourings in this capture Joe and the touches of rust add another hue .
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your comments. They are appreciated.
ReplyDeleteFantastic image Joe, wonderful color and character!
ReplyDeleteDid you see it used as a location in Jack Irish film?
ReplyDeleteI had no idea it was in the Jack Irish film. Thx for letting me know.
