We had one evening of light drizzle while we were in Santorini and it arrived just as I was taking this photograph. My camera was sitting on a white painted concrete ledge on a slow shutter speed. The ledge was quite bumpy and being wet it must have bounced the light back into the camera lens creating this unexpected Bokeh effect. A pleasant surprise. Travel Tip: Wear shoes with good treads if it rains in Santorini, the marble footpaths and steps become very slippery.
Beautiful capture Joe. Magical and romantic.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! The rain on the lens adds a wonderful texture to the photo - and an excellent contrast to the background. Just outstanding!
ReplyDeleteIt's terrific, because it almost looks like starlight in a Van Gogh sort of way. Such a lucky accident!!!
ReplyDeleteOh that's so cool Joe, it sort of has a Christmassy feel !
