On 11 January 1922 an article appeared in the Argus under the banner "World's Busiest Station". It reported that it was generally understood among railway men that Flinders Street Station was the busiest in the world in respect to the number of trains handled, and one of the first three in the world as regards the number of passengers arriving and departing on an ordinary working day. It still seems pretty busy to me. Cheers J.
I'm sure Paul Smith doesn't mind the foot traffic either.
ReplyDeleteReally nice!
ReplyDeleteJoe, love that scene with the huge billboard above the train station. Love the trains. I'd like to see the train station on the inside.
ReplyDeleteGosh, busiest in the world.. That's never going to be the case for Perth.. I hope :)
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective...and the man on the billboard has a perfect view.
