MARRAKECH - GOODBYE
Marrakech was a challenge from the day we arrived to the day we left. The streets, the language, the culture, the food were all foreign to us. The taxis, the currency, the donkeys and the motorbikes buzzing by, Jemaa el Fnaa with its snakes and monkeys all kept us on our toes. We are independent travellers and going solo in the Medina far from the usual tourist route was always going to be an adventure and that it certainly was. We didn't travel to the desert and sleep under the stars, we didn't ride a camel and we didn't follow a tour guide but we were pleased. We settled back into our Air Moroc seats, watched the chaos on board as ever patient flight attendants dealt with over sized bags, passengers unhappy with their seat allocation, a 2 year old ripping the head rest covers off seats and throwing them at nearby passengers.
