Above The Spire at St Patrick's Cathedral Melbourne

  1. Hi everyone. I was fortunate to take a 15 minute helicopter ride around Melbourne last year. It was a hazy, drizzly day and the photos were a bit grey. After a bit of processing I have livened a few of them up for this blog.

  2. Well, this is a stunning view and I almost looked up this cathedral before commenting. I wanted to see what kind of structure (mountain?) you could have been climbing to get this shot. Thank you for sharing the helicopter story!

This view and perspective of the cathedral could not be appreciated as well from the ground. Excellent!

  7. What a great medieval (or maybe Gothic?) looking cathedral Joe, made even more so because of the way you've taken it from above.

  10. Great view, I wondered if you were up in an even taller building, but your comment explains it all!

  11. I took a chopper ride over the Bungle Bungles which produced equivalent shots to this - but without the shopped out greyess.

This is an impressive structure from the ground, Joe, and even moreso from the air.

I'm with Alan. Keep 'em coming ...
