The Enterprize

Hey there V ...This is the schooner Enterprize.  It is a replica of the ship that brought the first settlers
to Melbourne. The original ship, built in Hobart in 1829 by William Pender carried cargo such as coal
and at least on one occasion, 300 sheep.  I boarded the vessel for a tour at Princes Pier yesterday.

  1. Oh I bet that was fun Joe, I should've done that when it was docked in Fremantle, but I have a bit of a problem with claustrophobia and I let that sway me, idiot moi!! Fantastic image of the ship on the 'high seas'.

  2. What a historic glorious ship! I can just close my eyes and think of the stories, the salt air, and the motion on the sea! Hope that it was wonderful, Joe.

  4. A wonderful sight... "tall ship in full sail" and captured from the safety of the shore.
