Bundoora Homestead

Hi V ... This is Bundoora Homestead, a 14 room mansion built in 1900.  It is located approximately 16 kilometres north of the Melbourne CBD.  It has been a private residence complete with horse and cattle stud, a convalescent farm for soldiers traumatised by WWI and a mental repatriation hospital. Today is used as an Art Centre; a place for ideas and contemplation.  More to come.  Cheers J.

  1. I've always thought it would be nice to live somewhere with a balcony.

  2. I like how one can walk all along the balcony on the first floor! That's what I've always dreamed of having!

  4. Yes, I myself could use a place for ideas and contemplation, and perhaps mental repatriation as well. Looks like a glorious example of Edwardian architecture.

  6. Unfortunately suburbia has surrounded it with a vengeance... It used to be within a huge park.
