One of the main reasons we visited Athens was to see the
Parthenon and it did not disappoint. This night shot was taken from the rooftop
of The Plaka Hotel which provided a spectacular vantage point. A handy ledge
and a metal cylinder placed under the lens barrel to get the angle provided a
makeshift tripod. We were so happy to see the Parthenon both at night and on a
sunny day against a glorious blue sky. More to come.
It's a lovely image. If you hadn't explained how you took it, I would have assumed this is its morning light.
