Wow 100 films! I can only think of two that I've seen him in Breaker Morant and The Desert Rats. He had a good long life.
ReplyDeleteI have seen the Desert Rats.
ReplyDeleteHe was a wonderful Aussie actor. Looks like he'll be missed by a large family there Joe.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a botanical cemetery, very dual purpose
ReplyDeleteHe must have lead a nice life, don't know him but to appear in 100 films is quite a lot.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget Homicide. He was institution in early TV dramas.
ReplyDeleteI have just spent an enjoyable few minutes reading through his official website - what a guy! No wonder he was so loved as to merit a state funeral.
ReplyDeletewhat a small stone!
ReplyDeletei dont know him, however...!
Golly, if everyone decided to name all their non-blood relatives on their grave-inscription, they could become most unwieldy. I do agree that Tingwell was a most agreeable gentleman, obviously loved by family and the wider community.
ReplyDeleteDo you have more from Springvale Botanical Cemetery, Joe? Out with them, then!
