Hi V ... Last week work took me away to Tatura, a small town in country Victoria, about 167 kilometres north of Melbourne. The name of the town is an Aboriginal word meaning "small lagoon". A series of mosaic murals stand in the centre of the main street depicting the town's past, local identities and its vision for the future. Cheers J.

Hi Joe,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a mural, past, present and future
Tres beau
ReplyDeleteA colourful and challenging mural to create.
ReplyDeleteLovely, but lacking in Aborigines?
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissy. There on their way. The were on another panel. Will post next Monday. J.
DeleteWell spotted Chrissy, but I knew there was bound to be more Joe. A pictorial history lesson, nice!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautifully executed mosaic, nice way to present history.
ReplyDeleteThis seems to be the week for mosaic murals! The tesserae must be tiny. Yet the portraits are quite nuanced. Bravo to the artist. Thanks for contributing to Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteI always like these historical murals. Well done!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great mural Joe ... I can see a few familiar faces there.
ReplyDeleteNice one Joe!
ReplyDeleteJoe, this is a lovely mosaic, very complex. I cannot imagine how long it took to create this one.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
