Beautiful shot...an open door would certainly make it a welcome shelter :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful building Joe, it would be tres frustrating not to be able to shelter under the arch in stormy weather!
ReplyDeletebeautiful building!
ReplyDeleteArchitecturally it's a beautiful building Joe .... what a pity they don't open the gates and let people shelter-in from rain or scorching sun
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a beautiful entrance but locked. These days security is more important than shelter, it seems.
ReplyDeleteI am always saddened to see the heavy lock and chains on the front gates of the Great Synagogue in Sydney.
