A Unicorn is a mythical creature born of legend, folklore and fable.
This one sits opposite a rampant lion in the Victorian Parliament.
What purpose does it have in this legislative house?
As it glistens with silver, chained to a shield,
perhaps it's a crest of truth and peace and honour.
LOL, unicorn does not exist. So is the current legislative process in our state. Maybe that is to render the parliament as a fantasy land.

ReplyDeleteNations have often adopted fanciful symbols for themselves perhaps going back to a belief in animism. So we have the British lion, the Russian bear, and the American eagle. Unicorn looks good, so why not?
