Dearest V ... Break out the bubbly, Mim & Anna, arrived at their destination; The Apostles. Magnifique! Great photograph Mimzi. This is one of the most recognizable icons of Victoria's landscape; a tourist magnet. The site was called the Sow and Piglets up until 1922 after which it was named The Apostles; a much more inviting name and tourist draw card. The stacks in the ocean formed by erosion are made of limestone and despite the fact that their are only nine the site is often called The Twelve Apostles. It is interesting to watch the tourists count them and with a quizzical expression exclaim "But there are only nine!" Puzzled J.
Amazing landscape.
