Hi V ... The Queen Mary 2 docked at Station Pier at around 8am yesterday and set sail at around 6pm. "Gargantuan" is the word I would use to describe it ... Cheers J. Photo courtesy of my wife.
Hi there - nice picture - I missed out on seeing the boat in the flesh. Did you see the picture in this mornings Age - this boat and a tall ship - the sailing ship looked like a bath toy!
That describes her perfectly Joe, she looks massive berthed there, making everything around look so small in comparison. I missed her both times she was in Fremantle!!
I've heard that the QM2 is huge. I'd love to see it up close. The original Queen Mary ship has been docked about 20 miles up the coast from where I live since the year I was born. It's used as a tourist attraction(hotel,restaurant,museum). I haven't gone inside since the mid 1970's.

ReplyDeleteIt is humongous! I have a friend who is on a cruise on this liner and look forward to see his photos on his return.
