Hi V ... Tourists and locals alike are often impressed by Melbourne's lanes. Attempts have been made to replicate them in some of the new constructions such as the QV building but the age, charm of the old lanes cannot be built, they must evolve. Many of the older alleys are burgeoning with street art such as that depicted above. Cheers J. Linking to Mural Monday |
Nice mural, I like the colors a lot!
ReplyDeleteIncredible eyes that draw you in.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Goldie Hawn.
ReplyDeleteMade me laugh... You're right Andy. ... It does!
ReplyDeleteLove the subtle, pyramidal segment of the portrait - almost cubist! The effect is a sense of layer and dimension! And in another sense - pop art with class!
ReplyDeleteQuite unique Joe ... I like it!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Andy, I think that is definitely Goldie Hawn, what a great find Joe, it definitely pays to nip down an alley now and then!!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about street art depending on the location and the aesthetics... This one is fine and a great capture
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
Agree with you about the sterility of the "constructed lanes" of the QV, Joe. The building equivalent of plastic...
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
She is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteShe seems to be coming out of the wall, in which (haha) she seems to live. I can imagine walking by and not seeing her at first. Good capture. Thanks for participating again in this week's Monday Mural
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool! Like it!
ReplyDeleteGreat art and love the capture you have here Joe.
