Hi V ... We went to see "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" last night. T'was a bawdy, slapstick, comedy which, I would imagine would be reminiscent of vaudeville. The star of the show was Geoffrey Rush winner of an Academy, Emmy and Tony award. He played "Pseudolos" a slave intent on gaining his freedom by matching his master up with the a beauty from Crete and creating a comedy of deceit involving the local brothel keeper and his girls. T'was a romp! PS As is right and proper photography was not allowed inside the theatre so I retrieved the above photograph from my archive; a member of the Swiss Guard taken in the Vatican City. He was smirking about something so it seemed apt. Cheers J.
Mr. Rush is a favorite of mine. Sounds like you had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteHI J,
ReplyDeleteI think he is smirking because he just got a good look at that get up he has on and realized how comical he looks. That said, what a great photo this is. The nuns in white , the guard in his rainbow uniform!!! Bravo.
Cheers V
Geoffrey Rush is amazing, lucky you! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh it would have to be good with Geoffrey Rush in it Joe, how weird I was just talking about him earlier today..
